SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, CUCUMBER!

Sow 1” deep and 2-3’ apart in warmth, as cukes are susceptible to frost. We like to sow indoors at the end of winter, then transplant to the garden after seedlings sprout (approx.3 weeks).

FREDDIE’S TIP: Try using a trellis - you can maximize small-garden space by sowing cucumber seeds just a foot apart.

Our cucumbers, like us, love full sunlight. If possible, place them to receive AM sunlight.

Water regularly - ideally give ‘em an inch per week, and spray the soil directly (not the leaves).

FREDDIE’S TIP: Add a few scoops of compost to improve drainage and add nutrients for the plants to absorb.

If slicing for salads, harvest at 7-9”. If pickling for dills, harvest earlier at 4-6”, and while you’re at it, try growing FREDDIE’S ORGANICS DILL SEEDS simultaneously - you see where we’re going with that?!
