THE BEET IS ON

Sow yer beet seeds 1/2” apart and 1/2” deep in well-drained, fertile soil. We like to drop 3-4 seeds into each lil dig. Sow additional seeds every 2-3 weeks for continuous harvests all season long.

Beets are tough & durable, so they’ll do well in cool weather (safe to plant before Spring & Fall frosts).

Our beets, like us, enjoy full sunlight!

Beets love water - try to keep the surrounding soil moist by giving ‘em an inch of drink per week.

Germination occurs within just 5 days (2 weeks tops), and we expect full maturity after 55 days in the soil bed.

FREDDIE’S TIP 1: if you pre-soak your seeds in lukewarm water 24hrs before planting, you’ll give ‘em a boost to germinate quickly.

FREDDIE’S TIP 2: beets are a 2-for-1 sensation - cook the dark red meat + chop the deep green tops like you would Swiss Chard!
